The Staten Island Young Republican Club announced today that Peter Giunta has assumed the Presidency following the resignation of President Michael Pardo. Giunta was previously Vice President of the Club.
"I want to thank President Pardo for his leadership these past eight months, the result of which led to a much needed revitalization of our organization; that said, we still have much to accomplish and I look forward to leading that effort as President of the Staten Island Young Republicans," said Peter Giunta.
He continued, "This year we are laser focused on helping our three Republican candidates for the judiciary make it past the finish line, but with the 2020 election around the corner, our aim will soon be on working with the Staten Island Republican Party to take back New York's 11th Congressional District."
"I am proud of the achievements we've had this year, which include the submission of over 1,500 signatures to support our candidates for the judiciary in their effort to get on the ballot and passing a crucial update to the by-laws of The Staten Island Young Republican Club," said Michael Pardo. "None of that would have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our members, whose participation was exemplary of what being a Young Republican is all about. I wish Peter and the Club the very best of luck going forward."
Pardo will remain an active member of the Club as Parliamentarian and continue to advocate on behalf of all Young Republicans throughout New York City as Metro Region Vice Chairman to the New York State Young Republicans.
